What’s your impression of the players so far?

My first impression of these kids is that they all seem pretty motivated. Basically for these kids to come from different parts of the country to come together, it’s great to see they have the motivation and a positive mentality to come together and work as a team to represent the Marine Corps.

What is the team learning from the Marines?

One thing we want the kids to take from these experiences is to take away the Marine Corps values of honor, courage and commitment, to know what it means to be a role model and also to take away the 14 leadership traits to mold them into a better leader so they can be role models in college and the NFL.

What are you learning from the players?

One thing these guys are teaching me is that the structure of the football team, the different positions and the different types of exercises that they do to help them come together as a team are some of the same concepts we use in the military.
