Q: HOW LONG DOES EACH SEMPER FIDELIS ALL-AMERICAN CAMP LAST?
A: Check-in begins at 8:30 am on the morning of the event and the camp concludes at 2:30 pm.
Q: WHO CAN ATTEND A SEMPER FIDELIS ALL-AMERICAN CAMP?
A: Events are open to current 9th-11th grade high school football players.
Q: WHAT IS THE COST TO ATTEND A SEMPER FIDELIS ALL-AMERICAN CAMP?
A: Semper Fidelis All-American Camps are free to all participants
Q: HOW CAN I REGISTER FOR A SEMPER FIDELIS ALL-AMERICAN CAMP?
A: Players can sign up by visiting the ‘Camps’ tab on the semperfidelisfootball.com website and clicking the ‘Register Now’ button next to the event they wish to attend. Registration for the 2015 camps is expected to open in early January.
Q: WHAT WILL I DO AT A SEMPER FIDELIS ALL-AMERICAN CAMP?
A: Each camp starts with a warm-up and a series of dynamic agility drills led by coaches and Marines. Players are then divided up by position and led through a series of drills designed to improve technique and skill. Leadership talks will be hosted by Marines over the course of the day so you will have the opportunity to hear a unique Marine Corps perspective on what it takes to excel both on and off the field. During the second half of the camp, players are matched up for one-on-one drills. WRs match up against against DBs, RBs will go against LBs and OLs will battle DLs. QBs throw to the WRs and RBs.
Q: WHO PROVIDES INSTRUCTION AT SEMPER FIDELIS ALL-AMERICAN CAMPS?
A: The camps are led by Alvin Reynolds, a 19-year NFL coaching veteran. Reynolds held positions with the Baltimore Ravens (1996-1998), Carolina Panthers (1999-2002), Jacksonville Jaguars (2003-2007) and Atlanta Falcons (2008-2011). Reynolds has coached a number of Pro Bowl NFL players, including Steve Atwater in Denver and Rod Woodson in Baltimore. Alvin is assisted by both a highly qualified group of position coaches, who are all former NFL and college coaches, as well as Marines.
Q: WHAT SHOULD PLAYERS BRING TO THE CAMP?
A: Players will need to bring a pair of cleats, a mouth guard and shorts. Players will be provided with a compression shirt during registration.
